Atlanta could become Kansas City south here soon. Adam Schefter says Tyson Jackson is expected to meet with the Falcons.

Everything from here on out in this post is speculation from me.

If the Chiefs have not re-signed Jackson by now then it is likely he is gone. The Chiefs have had the last two months to work on a deal for him and both teams have figured out what he’d make on the open market as of the last 72 hours. It would seem to me the Chiefs have given their offer and do not plan to budge from it. Don’t be surprised if Jackson just stays in Atlanta after his visit.

Kansas City needs more pass rush out of the defensive line and Jackson is not the guy to get that done. Keeping Jackson would require a team-friendly deal and an understanding he will only play certain packages. By no means was Jackson a solution for the Chiefs at defensive end.

Unless Jackson wants to sign a very cheap contract with the Chiefs, it is best for both sides for him to walk.
