5. Loucheiz Purifoy (Cornerback)

School: Florida
Watch to Watch: Interviews, 40-Time
2013 Stats: 24 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, seven passes defended
Met with Chiefs: No

Purifoy has first round talent but could drop in the draft because of perceptions about his character and coachability.

Physically, he is very gifted, measuring over six-feet with projected 4.3 speed. His coverage in the 2012 season was solid though he did not make a lot of plays in terms of interceptions. There are simply not a lot of 6-1 corners with 4.3 speed out there to for the taking.

However, his junior season at Florida was something of a mess. He was suspended for the first game of the season for violations of team rules, and looked like he quit in the season finale against Florida State. Kelvin Benjamin torched him in that game for 212 yards and three touchdowns.

Everything at Flordia was a mess last year, however. And a fresh start could be a good thing for him. His combine numbers should be through the roof, and his ability to play an excellent special teams should make him even more valuable. This could be a guy the Chiefs get a good deal on in the middle rounds of the draft.
