The NFL has released the captains for the 2013-2014 Pro Bowl and the Kansas City Chiefs own running back Jamaal Charles has been named as one of the four.

As most of you may — or may not — know the Pro Bowl will be run completely different this year. There will be no AFC vs. NFC. All players voted to the team will be eligible to be drafted by either former defensive back Deion Sanders or former wide receiver Jerry Rice.

The fact that Charles was voted as a captain should come as no surprise. He is arguably the most talented offensive in the NFL, not named Peyton Manning. With over 1200 yards on the ground, 600 yards through the air and a total of 19 touchdowns, Charles’ season was record breaking and stood out among many great performances by other running backs in the league.

Charles joins New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn and Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt as the other captains going to Honolulu, Hawaii the week after the Superbowl.
