It’s always tough to blow a big lead, but especially when it happens in the playoffs.
The Kansas City Chiefs were well on their way to the second round of the NFL playoffs with a large 28-point lead in the third quarter, but that all came crashing down. The Colts came all the way back down 10-38 and ended up beating the Chiefs 45-44. That’s the definition of a heartbreak, and some of the Chiefs players expressed that on Twitter after the game.
Despite the tough way to end the season, without a doubt, Kansas City has a lot to build on. Jamaal Charles is one of the best players in the league, Alex Smith is really starting to shine and this defense has the pieces to be elite. Remember, this is a team that started the year 9-0 and was arguably one of the better stories in the NFL in 2013.
The Chiefs provided us with a ton of great memories this season. Use the comments below to give them a shootout, say thanks!
