Many people need their coffee to get up and going in the morning. Here at Arrowhead Addict, we understand that for a Chiefs fan, coffee is simply not enough.

Here’s all that’s happening around Chiefs Kingdom this morning.

Welcome to The Morning (Afternoon) Fix.

–The Kansas City Chiefs are 5-0, and this is a good 5-0 mind you. Kansas City didn’t luck into five wins, because one, that’s not an option in the NFL. Two, this is a good team with a great defense, a great coach, great special teams and a serviceable offense. It’s my opinion that the Chiefs are for real.

Coach Andy Reid on the win, per Reid Ferrin of KCChiefs.com:

“It was a resilient win,” coach Reid said. “I thought the guys played hard, they stuck to it. There were some ups and downs; it was two good teams playing each other.”

He also had this to say, per CBSSports.com:

“We are 5-0, and we’re not ashamed of that,” Reid said. “We also know that we’ve got a ton of room to improve and it’s important that we continue to do that.”

Jamaal Charles seemed lost for words regarding the fact that his team is 5-0:

“I am speechless right now,” Charles said. “This team is very blessed to be 5-0 right now. Nobody expected us to be 5-0.”

Dontari Poe, the Chiefs’ star defensive tackle, seemed a bit more excited, according to Ferrin’s report:

“Huge,” Poe said of the historic team victory. “It’s unexplainable right now; we’ll enjoy this to the fullest for this day and tomorrow, we’re moving on to the next. It’s huge; it’s a great feeling.
