Oct 6, 2012 Raleigh, NC, USA; Florida State Seminoles tight end Nick O

Nick O’Leary – 6’3 248lbs – Florida State

In 2011, Nick O’Leary was the nation’s top tight end recruit coming out of high school and through two years, he had only scored a total of four touchdowns. In 2012, he caught 21 receptions for 252 yards and three of his four touchdowns. These numbers aren’t great by any stretch but they don’t accurately represent O’Leary’s contribution to the team. I also have to add that in his first game of 2013, O’Leary had three catches for 47 yards and three touchdowns, matching his 2012 touchdown total in just one game. O’Leary has one of the most intriguing quarterback prospects in the nation throwing him the ball this year in Jameis Winston and should see a significant improvement in his reception and yards. On May 2nd, O’Leary was nearly killed while riding his motorcycle on the highway. He was struck by a car, whose driver was cited for causing the accident, and thrown through the air skidding an estimated 100 feet before coming to a stop. Miraculously or perhaps by the luck of the Irish, O’Leary walked away from the accident with only soreness and a few bruises. O’Leary is also known for being PGA legend Jack Nicklaus’ grandson. I believe O’Leary will be drafted in the mid to late 3rd round.
