Report: Dunta Robinson Out vs. Cowboys
Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports
Kansas City Chiefs CB Dunta Robinson has been missing from practice this week and now according to Pro Football Talk, he will be missing on the field Sunday when KC hosts the Dallas Cowboys.
According to PFT, a league source has confirmed that Roninson will not be available.
"PFT has confirmed, via a league source, that Robinson will not be available for the Week Two game against Dallas.Ed Werder of ESPN, who reported that Robinson is likely to miss the game, says that Robinson’s cousin was struck by a car. Robinson’s cousin remains unconscious and in an intensive care unit."
Robinson is an excellent veteran presence to have available but his loss may not be as big of a deal as some folks might think. The way the Chiefs are using their DBs, Robinson appears to be on the low end. Robinson only played 26 snaps last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Here are the snap counts for the other KC DBs:
Sean Smith 64
Brandon Flowers 64
Eric Berry 64
Husain Abdullah 43
Quintin Demps 44
Kendrick Lewis 74
In short, it appears as though when the Chiefs need extra DBs, they are going with Demps and Abdullah before Robinson.
What do you think, Addicts? Will the Chiefs miss Robinson tomorrow?
