The NFL Players of the Week have just been anounced, and the Kansas City Chiefs outside linebacker, Justin Houston won the AFC honors for Week 1.

Houston turned in a monster performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Houston had three sacks and five tackles enroute to the Chiefs’ overwhelming victory agains the Jags. The sack count ties his game high, and he currently co-leads the NFL in sacks. The Jags had no answer for Houston, and he kept rookie right tackle Luke Joeckel, the No. 2 overall draft pick, on his heels the entire game.

Houston looks to continue his QB hunting ways this Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys come into Arrowhead. He had 10 sacks last season, and he’s already gotten a third of that in one game. We’ll see if “America’s Team” has any answer for the Chiefs new sack machine.
