Running back Shaun Draughn has announced his release from the Kansas City Chiefs via his Twitter account.
Draughn was a fan favorite in Kansas City and stepped up big during the injury riddled season in 2011. Last year, with the return of Jamaal Charles, his production was lessened, but he still showcased his power running ability.
Draughn spent most of the offseason as the #3 RB behind Charles and rookie Knile Davis, but it appears he may have lost the battle to fellow back, Cyrus Gray.
However, with more cuts yet to come, and the fact that the Chiefs have “first dibs” if you will on the waiver wire, truly no one is safe on the roster.
What do you think, Addicts? Was this a good cut, or should Draughn have stayed on the roster?
