Arrowhead Stadium opens its doors up for thousands of Chiefs’ addicts tonight for the first time in 2013.

This will be a game of firsts, and although it’s only preseason, there’s a lot to pay attention to in this game.

This is Andy Reid’s first game at Arrowhead as head coach of the Chiefs. This is Alex Smith’s first time at Arrowhead as quarterback of the Chiefs. This is also the first time he’ll be playing his old team, the San Francisco 49ers.

This is the first time Arrowhead Addicts all around the world will be able to see the 2013 Chiefs at their house, so preseason or not, this is going to be pretty intense.

It’s football after all.

Here’s some info you’ll want to know if you’re not going to the game.

Chiefs Player To Keep An Eye On: Knile Davis, RB

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

With Jamaal Charles likely sitting out do to injury precautions, rookie running back Knile Davis is going to get a ton of big-time looks.

News out of camp is that Davis has struggled at times, but this is going to be his opportunity to step up and prove that he belongs.

Maybe he won’t set the world on fire, but he’s getting reps with the first team and the bright lights will be on. This should be a good experience for the rookie.

Will the Chiefs’ aggressive defense be able to contain Colin Kaepernick? San Francisco likes to run the read-option with him, and that type of system can devastate a defense that is too aggressive and loses contain.

Kansas City is going to have to find a balance between getting after the ball carrier and stopping that read-option.

Prediction:

49ers win 20-17, but really it doesn’t matter. I think the Chiefs’ first offense will look good and the defense will find a way to stop Kaepernick once or twice.
