The Kansas City Chiefs may not be done pursuing free agents.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Chiefs are still going after former Miami Dolphins CB Sean Smith.
Chiefs are in pursuit of Dolphins free-agent CB Sean Smith, and clearly Kansas City is a viable option for him.

If Denver has Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker, would make sense for KC to have Sean Smith, Dunta Robinson and Brandon Flowers.

We knew that the Chiefs were supposedly after Smith but news has been quiet on that front since the start of free agency. The fact that Schefter is still tweeting about the Chiefs and Smith is good news because it means the two sides are likely still talking.
Schefter also makes a good point. Denver’s acquisition of Wes Welker yesterday raises the stakes in the AFC West. The Chiefs aren’t the only team in the division getting better and they can’t afford to fall any farther behind their rivals than they already are.
Adding Smith to a DB crew that already contains Flowers and Robinson, not to mention youngsters like Javier Arenas and Jalil Brown, would certainly give the Chiefs a chance at containing the Broncos’ passing attack.
Hopefully KC can get a deal done today.
Do you guys still want Sean Smith in KC?
