According to Joe Person, beat writer for the The Charlotte Observer, the NFL has told the Carolina Panthers to keep their travel plans on schedule ahead of their game against the Chiefs tomorrow, in the wake of a tragic, developing story in Kansas City.
Earlier this morning, a Kansas City Chiefs player reportedly shot and killed his girlfriend before driving to Arrowhead Stadium where he took his own life in the parking lot, in front of a couple of coaches.
The Chiefs were scheduled to play the Panthers tomorrow at noon central. It is hard to imagine the game happening now but it looks as though the NFL is having the Panthers continue to travel to Kansas City while the situation develops.
Obviously football is not what is important right now but we will keep you abreast of all related news as this story develops.
We will not report the name of the player until it has been officially announced by the police.
