Denny Medley-US PRESSWIRE
Despite the fact that one of their players murdered someone and committed suicide in the parking lot of the stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs will play the Carolina Panthers in a football game on Sunday.
From the team’s website:
"“After discussions between the league office, Head Coach Romeo Crennel and Chiefs team captains, the Chiefs advised the NFL that it will play tomorrow’s game vs. the Carolina Panthers at its originally scheduled time.”"
While I don’t personally agree with the decision, it isn’t my decision to make. I was worried about the NFL forcing the team to play but if Coach Crennel, GM Scott Pioli and the players want to play, that is their call.
Will you be heading out to Arrowhead tomorrow to cheer on the Chiefs? It is sure to be one of the most emotional scenes in franchise history.
