Evening Chiefs fans! I hope the sting of another loss has worn off by now. Personally, I’m getting kind of numb to it by now. Anyway, with Paddy off on his honeymoon and yours truly in charge for the time being, a morning fix post just isn’t possible. So this week I’ll be rolling out an evening “Chiefs Day In Review” post every night in case you missed out on any of the daily news, reports, stories, or general griping. Also, if you feel the need to just vent some frustration that doesn’t necessarily fit under the topic of another post, feel free to unload in the comments below. Trust me, it can be therapeutic. Now on to your daily Chiefs news.

Here at AA Stacy D. Smith explained how the Chiefs are now bringing Comic Relief to their fans. It’s a great read. This section in particular hit home with me.

"There comes a point where all you can do is laugh, to keep from crying. There are only so many ways to express frustration in the vernacular of human body language. I think Chiefs fans are fresh out of ways to be visibly disgusted. The facepalm doesn’t do an inexplicable interception justice. Rolling your eyes at missed field goals (inside of 35 yards) isn’t satisfying anymore. As of late, seeing this team beat itself time and again, only elicits laughter. Make no mistake, it’s not funny. I’m sure most of you take no pleasure in watching a fallen football team self-destruct over and over again. That’s not what this is. Laughter’s been called the best medicine, but it’s also a telltale sign that someone is at their wit’s end. At the moment, such is life in Chiefs Kingdom. This team is a joke."

Also at AA, Paddy gave us all 5 Reasons To Keep Watching The Kansas City Chiefs, and I let you know what players Earned Their Arrowheads, and passed along the uplifting news that the Chiefs have squeaked out of the bottom spot in the Power Rankings Roundup.

At the Kansas City Star Sam Mellinger’s latest offering Chiefs Discover New Way To Fail brought us this:

"So we picked up a few more anecdotes to rehash if and when owner Clark Hunt decides to make major changes. He already had all the reasoning he needs, but an unforgettably creative one came in the third quarter when the Chiefs did the Chiefs-est thing of the season: a “group celebration” penalty for a touchdown that didn’t count on their way to 1-8."

Over at Arrowhead Pride Joel Thorman has his monthly approval poll up for Scott Pioli. It shows that in August his approval was at 80%, in September it crashed to 35%, and as of my typing this the current vote for November (there wasn’t an October) has Pioli at a whopping 6% approval rate. Frankly, I’m surprised he even got 6%. There must have been some Raiders fans that voted.

Finally, over at ESPN, AFC West blogger Bill Williamson posted that no decision has been made yet on who will start at QB for KC this weekend. He had the following quote from Romeo Crennel’s conference call:

"“I think Brady [Quinn] said that he is ready to go, and I’m sure he is excited about the possibility, but at this point he is not officially cleared,” Crennel told reporters Tuesday. “So, I can’t make a determination until I can find out exactly what the prognosis is for him. So, that’s what I’ll do. I’ll find out and then we’ll go from there.”"

So there’s your Chiefs Day In Review for Tuesday. Thanks for reading Addicts!
