The Kansas City Chiefs continued their “Fan Embarrassment Tour” today when they lost to Oakland Raiders at Arrowhead for the sixth straight time.
It was yet another comedy of errors that can’t help but leave you wondering when Clark Hunt is going to pull the curtain closed on GM Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel.
Earlier this week, Crennel named backup QB Brady Quinn the new starter over incumbent Matt Cassel. The Quinn era lasted all of a quarter. Quinn left the game early with a head injury, though he did make sure to throw an interception first. He finished the day two of four for one yard and an interception.
Matt Cassel played slightly better, though he was under pressure on almost every drop-back.
There isn’t much to say at this point that hasn’t already been said. The Chiefs are 1-6. The coaches are terrible. The players are terrible. The GM hasn’t done a good enough job.
The sooner Clark Hunt blows this thing up and hires a new GM, the sooner the new guy can start trying to fix this mess and more importantly, start scouting for what should be a very important draft.
