Chiefs Heading Into The Bye

Will the Kansas City Chiefs manage to get off to a fast start in 2012?

We’ve been talking a lot about the importance of the offseason program lately and how important it is that the Chiefs get off to a fast start. We saw in 2010 when the Chiefs started 3-0 how critical getting out of the gate quickly can be. We also saw how damning a slow start can be in 2011 when the Chiefs started 0-3.

This season the Chiefs have the benefit of a full offseason but they also have a challenging schedule early. KC takes on the Falcons at home in week 1 before going on the road to play the Bills and Saints. Romeo Crennel’s team then returns to Arrowhead to play a divisional game against the Chargers. They will then host their playoff nemeses from the 2011 season, the Baltimore Ravens and finish things off with a trip to Tampa before heading into their off week.

So where will the Chiefs stand after six games? It is early but we thought we’d poll you anyway.

I think the Chiefs are going to be much better prepared this season and I think they are going to surprise some folks early. My optimistic prediction is that KC will be 4-2.

What is your prediction?
