Albert, Baldwin Miss Practice

The Chiefs hit the practice field again today but they did it without two of their most important players in LT Branden Albert and WR Jonathan Baldwin.

According to Adam Teicher of The Kansas City Star, coach Romeo Crennel said Albert was dealing with personal business. As for Baldwin, Crennel said he was dealing with a mediacal issue, which Teicher hypothesized could be migraine related.

Hopefully everything with Albert is ok. As for Baldwin, let’s just hope his medical issue is headache-related. I’m not trying to downplay the severity of migraines because I get them myself but I’d rather that than something serious that could keep Baldwin out the entire season.

With WR Dwayne Bowe still not reporting to voluntary workouts, Baldwin has become even more important to KC’s offensive plans.  While Bowe has gone on the record as saying he will indeed report to training camp, the rave reviews coming out of OTAs about Baldwin have been very encouraging. It would be a shame for an injury of any kind to derail his progress.

If you all have any spells to ward off injury, now is the time to start performing them daily.
