The Kansas City Chiefs are interested in Florida Atlantic RB Alfred Morris, according to fauowlaccess.com. According to the article, the Chiefs are sending their RB’s coach to the school today to check out Morris today.
Morris rushed for 1,186 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior. NFL Draft Scout ranks him as the 34th best RB in the draft and projects him to go undrafted. He ran a disappointing 4.67 40 at the NFl Scouting Combine. He managed a 4.62 and 4.63 at the school’s Pro Day.
The Chiefs are likely looking for potential here. They are pretty well set at RB but will sign some undrafted guys at the conclusion of the draft. They may have seen something from Morris on tape that they liked so they could be taking a closer look.
Morris is listed at 5-12. 219.
