Mitch Schwartz Will Visit With Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs made a great addition to their offensive line in free agency by adding OT Eric Winston.
Still, the Chiefs have little to no depth at the position entering the 2012 season. That may mean they’ll invest a draft pick on a prospect in a few weeks.
According to Scout.com, the Chiefs will visit with OT prospect Mitch Schwartz.
Schwartz, who played his college ball at California, is 6-5, 318. NFL Draft Scout ranks him as the seventh best OT in the draft and projects him as a late second, early third round draft pick.
I could see Schwartz moving up higher than that come the draft. It seems like every year, tackles start going like hotcakes. It is such an important position that teams often reach a bit to make sure they get their guy.
What do you think, Addicts? Might the Chiefs take a chance on Schwartz if he falls to them in the third? Could you see them trading back into the end of the second round to snag him?
One possibility is that if the Chiefs manage to trade back in round one, they might pick up an additional pick that could enable them to move around later.
