According to multiple sources, free agent CB Chris Carr will be visiting the Kansas City Chiefs.
Carr most recently played with the Baltimore Ravens and entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Raiders.
Carr, 28, was a backup CB for the Ravens. Last season he played 191 snaps and received a grade of -1.5 from Pro Football Focus.
Interestingly, Carr was a starter for the Ravens in 2010 and he performed quite well. He played 1,167 snaps and received a +6.8 overall grade. He graded +6.3 in coverage. He has two interceptions and only gave up three total TD’s on the season. Carr was also used to rush the passer and he recorded six QB pressures on the season.
Carr seems to be a pretty athletic guy who is somewhat versatile. These days a team can never have too many good CB’s so signing Carr to come in and push Javier Arenas and Jalil Brown might not be a bad idea. He could certainly replace Donald Washington.
