6. Travis Daniels
Some people may be surprised to see Travis Daniels on this list at all, let alone sitting at number six on the list. However, I have always been impressed with Daniels’ ability to fill in when needed. After Flowers and Carr, I feel he has the third best man cover skills on the team. If for some reason the Chiefs don’t bring back Brandon Carr, I think Daniels becomes even more critical to sign. Frankly, if Carr is gone I’d rather the team spend the league minimum on a guy like Daniels than pay someone like Stanford Routt millions of dollars after how poor he played last season just because he’s a bigger name. On the other hand, if the Chiefs do re-sign Carr and feel like Jalil Brown is ready for a bigger roll, then Daniels may be allowed to walk.
