Chiefs vs. Broncos: Five Players To Watch

facebooktwitterreddit

The Kansas City Chiefs will try to play spoiler Sunday when they travel to Denver to take on the Donkey’s.

This game has no shortage of stroylines and should be a fun contest to watch.

Here are five players we’ll be keeping a close eye on in the Chiefs’ season finale.

Kyle Orton

This list has to begin with Kyle Orton. The former Broncos QB who got ran out of town by the Tebow-maniacs in Denver will surely be looking to get revenge. Orton will be unlikely to receive a warm welcome Sunday but for once the fans at Mile High will be booing him for being on the other team.

Will Orton crack under the pressure or will he make the entire city of Denver pay? His contract is up after the season so Orton is also auditioning for the rest of the league.

Reshard Langford

Langford pretty much single-handedly lost the Raiders game for the Chiefs. His blown plays spoiled what was a pretty good day by the rest of the defense. If Romeo trusts Langford to take the field again, it will be interesting to see how he responds. Should he have another poor game, he could find himself out of the NFL next season.

Justin Houston

Houston has definitely turned the corner but it all started in the first game against Denver when Houston was instrumental is slowing down the option. If Houston can take what he’s learned since and put in another solid performance, the Chiefs could force Tim Tebow to throw and make mistakes.

Casey Wiegmann

This very well could be the last game of Wiegmann’s career. Given his time with both organizations, it is fitting that Wiegmann’s last game could be against the Broncos. Here’s hoping the Chiefs can send him off with a win.

Derrick Johnson

Derrick Johnson is fresh off the first Pro Bowl selection of his career. If the Chiefs are going to shut down the Denver rushing attack, they’ll need DJ to keep playing at a high level. Look for Johnson to make an impact Sunday.

Alright Addicts. Those are the five players I’ll be watching Sunday. Who will you have your eye on?
