Eagles Cut Jarrad Page

The Philadelphia Eagles have cut former Chiefs safety Jarrad Page.

Page is caught up in a weird story at the moment. A number of Eagles players were apparently present at a Manhattan night club where a man was shot and killed late Tuesday night. The Eagles have said that Page’s presence at the club had nothing to do with his being cut. Hmm.

Page was a restricted free agent following the 2009 season and was eventually traded to the Patriots. He was injured in New England, playing only 10 games. He only started once.

Page then signed with the Eagles this season. He started five games this season for Philly, recording 37 tackles and two pass defenses.

Though the Chiefs have serious needs at safety, don’t count on them going after Page. They obviously weren’t thrilled with him in the first place or they wouldn’t have traded him away.
