According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, the Kansas City Chiefs have placed Tony Moeaki on the physically unable to perform list.
Uh-Oh.
There were some injury concerns about Moealki coming out of college which is part of the reason he didn’t go higher in the draft. Moeaki put those concerns to rest in 2010, however, playing very well as a rookie and only missing time while recovering from a concussion.
While this certainly isn’t good news, it isn’t cause to panic either…yet.
Local reporters with in St. Joe yesterday to help welcome the Chiefs to camp. There was no indication from any of them that anything seemed wrong with Moeaki. Tony could be suffering from something extremely minor. A lot of teams are placing guys on the PUP list to start cam. For instance, the Chargers have place TE Anotnio Gates on PUP.
There is no reason to worry unless Moeaki STAYS on PUP. If he is put on PUP when the season begins, he will have to sit out at least the first six games.
Unless there is something serious going on that we don’t know about, I doubt that will happen.
