KC Chiefs Should Go After Ty Warren
Just as the nose tackle situation is getting bleaker and bleaker, with Shaun Smith on his way, and with zero news coming out of the Franklin camp (or anyone else’s for that matter), we get a small beacon of something fascinating that can only be The True Promise of Amuuurca.
Patriots DE Ty Warren (age: 30), is a free agent, after having been cut by the Patriots this afternoon. He was an All Pro back in 2007, and has won two Super Bowls with the New England Patriots. In eight years, he’s amassed roughly 400 tackles and twenty sacks.
He is the ideal LDE, a stout run defender who, when healthy, can also be a disruptive force in your opponent’s backfield.
Listen, I know the Chiefs are stacked at DE right now (Dorsey, Jackson, Gilberry, Bailey, and Bair), but unless this team has a contingency plan at nose tackle, you’re going to need as much juice in your end position as you can get.
