Yesterday we told you there was a chance LB Jason Babin could be returning to the Kansas City Chiefs.
If you added him to your free agent target list, scratch him off.
Adam Schefter of ESPN.com is reporting that Babin has signed a five-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
We thought briefly yesterday that there was a chance Babin may end up back in KC after Babin himself reported that the Chiefs had expressed interest.
This move makes sense for Babin. He excelled in Tennessee last season in their 4-3 defense, which is the same scheme the Eagles run. The five-year deal is probably Babin’s last as a pro and my guess is that the Chiefs weren’t offering anything close to that long of a deal.
Good luck to Babin in Philadelphia. His career took off late but I guess that is better than never at all.
