Per multiple sources via Twitter, the Kansas City Chiefs have come to an agreement with undrafted free agent TE Charlie Gantt out of Michigan State.
Boy, the Chiefs sure do seem to love tight ends don’t they?
I guess the move can’t hurt. Other than Tony Moeaki, there really isn’t a ton of TE talent on the roster. Leonard Pope is set to be a free agent and Jake O’Connel hasn’t made much of a splash since being drafted in 2009.
I read a few brief scouting reports on Gantt. Seems he is a pretty decent blocker who can also catch a ball are to. Sounds a lot like Pope. Not outstanding in anyone area but the potential to be useful.
