Steelers Linebacker James Harrison Goes Off On Roger Goodell, Roethlisberger

We usually just stick to Kansas City Chiefs news around here but Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison said some things in a recent interview I thought would be worth sharing.

In an interview with Men’s Journal, Harrison went off on a couple of his teammates and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Harrison has had a turbulent relationship with Goodell after the comish fined him on a number of occasions for illegal hits on various players. It is no secret Harrison did not agree with the fines.

Now that he is being locked out, it appears Harrison is cutting lose.

This one is my favorite:

"If that man was on fire and I had to piss to put him out, I wouldn’t do it. I hate him and will never respect him."

More Harrison being a moron after the jump.

Along with apparently calling the comish a “puppet” and a “dictator” he also seemed to accuse Goodell of fining players more for illegal hits on white players as opposed to black players. See below:

"“I slammed Vince Young on his head and paid five grand, but just touched Drew Brees and that was 20.You think black players don’t see this s— and lose all respect for Goodell?”"

While Harrison was at it, he also threw his teammates QB Ben “No Means Yes” Roethlisberger and Rashard Mendenhall under the bus. He apparently called Mendenhall a “fumble machine” and blamed Roethlisberger for Pittsburgh’s loss to the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl.

"“Hey, at least throw a pick on their side of the field instead of asking the D to bail you out again. Or hand the ball off and stop trying to act like Peyton Manning. You ain’t that and you know it, man; you just get paid like he does.”"

Now it is no secret I am no fan of Roethlisberger or Goodell for that matter but I have to laugh at Harrison’s stupidity here. I mean, there are lots of things I think about people that I don’t actually say because like it or not, there are consequences for your actions.

Looks like Harrison is about to learn that the hard way.
