Shaun Rogers To Visit The Chiefs Today

facebooktwitterreddit

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, former Browns NT Shuan Rogers will visit with the Kansas City Chiefs today.

Rogers was released by the Browns a few days ago and has already visited with the Washington Redskins and is rumored to have received interest from many teams.

I spoke out against the Chiefs bringing in Rogers because I feel he is a bit of a bad apple and is old and injury prone. That being said, it isn’t totally crazy that the Chiefs are bringing him to town. Rogers played under KC defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel when Crennel was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.

More after the jump.

When healthy, Rogers can be a very disruptive force playing the NT in a 3-4 defense. I am not crazy about this and I think signing Rogers could have more downside than upside but regardless of my opinion, this is going to be exciting news in Chiefs Nation.

Rogers isn’t likely to come cheap. The fact that he didn’t sign with the Redskins right away and that he is now meeting with Crennel and the Chiefs could indicate that Rogers is interested in more than just money.

We’ll have more as this situation develops.

Well, what do you think?
