Tamba Hali Will Not Play In The Pro Bowl
Almost as soon as he was named to the Pro Bowl roster it was announced that Kansas City Chiefs OLB Tamba Hali will miss the game due to injury.
From Pro Football Talk’s Twitter:
Pro Bowl mini-mystery solved. Shaun Phillips replaces Tamba Hali, who replaced James Harrison. You will now be able to sleep now.
It kind of stinks that Tamba won’t get to play but his health is more important to KC’s long term plans.
Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star reported yesterday that Hali was playing hurt for the Chiefs all season. According to Babb, Hali told him he had tear in his right shoulder, a partial tear in his left shoulder and a torn muscle in his foot.
Hali was never on the injury report, never missed a game and finished 2nd in the NFL in sacks. I’d say he’s earned some time off to heal…and a new contract for that matter.
