Raiders Fire Tom Cable
After years of being absolutely terrible, the Oakland Raiders finally became relevant again in 2010, finishing 8-8 and sweeping the AFC West.
So naturally, they fired their coach.
Oakland owner Al Davis once again proved that until he either dies or relinquishes control, the Raiders will continue to be the joke of the NFL.
If I didn’t hate the Raiders so much I might actually feel bad for them. I don’t even think that Cable is that good of a coach but firing him after the team has had one of it’s best seasons in years is absolute stupidity.Say what you will about Cable but he has the support of his team and he has them playing hard and believing in themselves.
Now the Raiders, who appeared to finally be heading in the right direction, enter an uncertain future. A new coach could come in and change everything the Raiders have spent the last couple of years building. Coaches often like to bring in their own guys, their own systems and in many cases, their own players.
Way to go Al.
