The Kansas City Chiefs have a playoff game coming up this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens but that doesn’t mean the rest of the NFL isn’t looking ahead to next season.
Now that the 2010 regular season standings are final, the NFL was able to plug in the missing pieces to determine each NFL team’s 2011 scheduled opponents.
Here are KC’s home and away games for 2011:
Home: Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings
Away: Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions
This is certainly not as friendly a schedule of teams as the Chiefs had the pleasure of facing this year. Still, there are some favorable matchups. The Chiefs will get the Steelers and Packers at home. Those are all likely to be very tough games so it will help that KC is at home.
Away the Chiefs will have very tough games against the NY Jets, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears, on top of their divisional games.
It won’t be easy next season and the Chiefs will have to grow with their schedule. What do you think, Addicts? What are your early thoughts on next year’s opponents?
