In his second day participating in practice since his emergency appendectomy, Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel was limited.
The reports coming out of practice are that Cassel is moving pretty well and has some decent velocity but that he is trying to throw without using his lower torso much.
The speculation continues as to whether Cassel is going to suit up on Sunday. I don’t care what anybody says, I think Cassel is going to play. Everything I have read about this surgery leads me to believe that he should probably be good to go. Ben Raplessburger played 15 days after his appendectomy and on Sunday Cassel will be at day 12 (including the day of his surgery).
After last week’s loss, this game against St. Louis is just too important. The Chiefs need to run the table and they know it. they also know they need their #1 QB out there and I think he will be.
Cassel is the only Chiefs player currently on the injury report.
