Chiefs’ Flowers, Albert Leave Game With Injuries
The Kansas City Chiefs got back on track Sunday with a 31-13 victory over the Arizona Cardinals but the win came at a price.
How great a price remains to be seen.
The Chiefs saw two of their premier players leave the game with injuries, not to return.
Both LT Branden Albert and CB Brandon Flowers left the game late with injuries.
The word on the street is that Albert left with a hip injury and that Flowers left with a hamstring. Neither player returned to action after their injury, though the game was pretty well in hand by the time they left.
There were also reports that pass rushing specialist Tamba Hali was seen with an icepack on his left shoulder following the game.
The Chiefs will hope Flowers, Albert and Hali are all ok as the team is already a bit banged up. Safety Jon McGraw missed the game with a knee injury as did WR Dexter McCluster who has been suffering from an ankle injury. The Chiefs also listed Ryan Lilja and Brian Water questionable for today’s game, although both were able to play.
KC will need it’s key players next weekend when they travel to Seattle to take on the Seahwaks. The Chiefs will look to get their second road win of the season. They are currently 1-4 in road games with their only victory coming in Week 2 at Cleveland.
