Brian McIntyre of Mac’s Football Blog is reporting that the Chiefs have reached an agreement with 5th round draft choice OLB Cameron Sheffield.

Citing a league source, McIntyre is reporting that the deal is for 4 years.

"Sheffield’s contract has a base value of $1.984 million dollars, and includes a fully guaranteed $194,450 roster bonus in lieu of a signing bonus. The maximum value of Sheffield’s contract is $2.75 million dollars."

The Chiefs have yet to confirm the signing. They may announce it soon as it appears to have broken, though they may wait if they plan on announcing more than once signing at a time.

The Chiefs will report to training camp in 2 weeks. Sheffield would be the 2nd of the team’s draft picks to sign.
