Eric Berry On The First Day Of OTAs
The Kansas City Star interviewed Eric Berry today following the team’s OTA practice. Here are some highlights of what he said:
On what it was like being out on the field going against the veterans:
“It was fun. Just to get back on the field, out there making calls, playing defense and just flying around. That was the part that I was really enjoying. ”
On what surprised him:
“You know, us having that rookie mini camp, it was a lot faster than what I was used to in college. Everybody here, the veterans and all, I think it was a lot faster than the rookie mini camp so that was probably the thing. It wasn’t surprising but it was just like ‘okay, they said it was gonna be fast and it is fast’ I just kind of had to get adjusted.”
On whether he can play both safety and corner:
“Yes, I could. I’m just gonna do, you know, whatever coach Haley, whatever coach Crennel wants me to do. You know, if they want me to go to corner I’ll do that, they want me to go to safety, I’ll do that. Until they make that decision, right now they have me at safety and that is what I’m going to keep working at until they change me.”
