YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

The downright silliest trade of the offseason has taken place, one so ludicrus you’d swear Al Davis was somehow involved.

Suffering from a truckload of bad press, the Pittsburg Steelers have traded former Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes to the New York Jets, who themselves have just become Super Bowl favorites in the AFC.

The pricetag: the 151st pick in the NFL Draft. I.e. the Jets’ fifth rounder. Which, by the way, comes after the Chiefs’ three fifth rounders. Which I guess doesn’t matter anyway because of Holmes impending substance abuse suspension, his current domestic lawsuit, and his past issues with marijuana possession translates to Holmes fitting in no way with Pioli/Haley’s “the right 53” approach.

I can dig The Right 53, I can. But I sure wouldn’t have missed the fifth rounder.
