Chiefs Draft Picks Fully Revealed
You may remember the Chiefs traded with Miami last year for offensive lineman Andy Alleman and Ike Ndukwe for an undisclosed draft pick.It now appears that pick was KC’s 6th rounder, the 173rd pick.
The Chiefs also will not be drafting in the 7th round as they gave up their 7th round pick during last years draft so that that they could trade up to obtain TE Jake O’Connel.
Despite not picking in the 6th and 7th rounds, the Chiefs will pick 3 times in the 5th round. They have selections 102, 136 and 142. Striking it rich in the 5th round would quickly make up for their lack of late round picks.
So unless the Chiefs move around via trades and that is very possible given their wealth of 5th and 2nd round picks, this is how the Chiefs draft shapes up:
Round 1: #5
Round 2: #36 and #50
Round 3: #68
Round 4: #102
Round 5: #136, #142 and #144.
My guess is that means the Chiefs traded Tyler Thigpen to Miami for a 5th round pick. Not bad considering he was drafted in the 7th round.
