Chiefs Opponents Determined for 2010

The NFL has officially confirmed what teams the Chiefs will face next season. The Chiefs will face only 4 teams that have made the playoffs this season and at first glance, have  much easier opponents than in 2009. After the jump, we have the list.

At Arrowhead the Chiefs will face:

Oakland
San Diego
Denver
Arizona
Buffalo
Jacksonville
San Francisco
Tennessee

On the Road:

Oakland
San Diego
Denver
Cleveland
Houston
Indianapolis
St. Louis
Seattle

I will reserve total judgment until I see the order these games go in but you have to like this opponent list better than 2009’s. The Chiefs should be able to compete against the likes of Oakland, Denver, Buffalo, Jacksonville, San Francisco, Cleveland, St. Louis and Seattle. Perhaps even Tennessee. Most of the Chiefs home games seem winnable which is a good sign.

Of course this is the NFL and you never know what teams will drastically improve from year to year. When last years schedule came out I am sure most Chiefs fans marked off the Pittsburgh game as a loss and the Cleveland game as a win. Still, the opponent list looks friendlier right now than it did at this time last year.

What do you think Addicts? With the necessary improvements, are the opponents weak enough for the Chiefs to make a drastic improvement and, dare I say, a playoff run?
