The Kansas City Chiefs begin rookie minicamp on Saturday which means the first taste of pro football experience begins for Patrick Mahomes.

Patrick Mahomes, Kareem Hunt, Tanoh Kpassagnon and several other rookies, drafted or not, will get their first taste of pro football as the Kansas City Chiefs rookie minicamp begins on Saturday.

Fans will be anxious to see the first glimpses of prospects like Mahomes and Hunt in uniform and working out. Players will be able to hit the field, but there will not be any offense versus defense or hitting on the field. However players will be able to practice plays and participate in positional drills and conditioning.

It will also be interesting to see which undrafted rookies rise to the surface in front of the Chiefs coaching staff.  You can find a complete list here, but several interesting prospects are in Kansas City, including Alabama wide receiver Gehrig Dieter, Montana cornerback J.R. Nelson, UTPB OL Corin Brooks, Oregon State DB Devin Chappell and USC OL Damien Mama.

The Chiefs minicamp continues through Monday, May 8.
