Several members of the Denver Broncos front office and coaching staff met with Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey at the NFL Combine.

One of the best running back prospects for the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft might be headed to the AFC West with the report that the Denver Broncos seem quite interested in Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey.

McCaffrey, a junior, had another tremendous season in the Pac-12 last season for Stanford. Last season he rushed 253 times for 1,603 yards, an average of 6.3 yards per carry, and 13 touchdowns on the ground. He also added another 3 touchdowns through the air among his 37 total receptions.

While his yardage fell from his sophomore year, when he broke the 2,000 yard barrier with an incredible season of 2,019 rushing yards and8 touchdowns, the reality is that his talent is pro-ready. McCaffrey is a standout prospect even in a loaded draft class for running backs.
