This might shock you, but Pro Football Focus thinks the Kansas City Chiefs had a fine day against the New York Jets.

After winning 24-3 on Sunday, PFF took to grading the performances of Kansas City. In a shock to absolutely no one, the Chiefs got some high marks on the defensive side.

With the scale being 1-100, Derrick Johnson came in with the absurdly high mark of 95.7. Johnson was spectacular, leading the team with 11 tackles to go with an interception and a touchdown. It was a virtuoso performance for Johnson, who continues to showcase why he’s one of the best players in the league.

The secondary also got plenty of love. Marcus Peters led the group with a 87.5 grade, having picked off another two passes. Peters now has a league-leading four interceptions, giving him 12 in 19 regular-season contests. He’s amazing.

Then we get to a pair of safeties with Eric Berry and Daniel Sorensen. Berry was everywhere on Sunday, intercepting a pass and almost getting another on the play before. He earned an 85.3, while Sorensen – who had an interception of his own – notched an 83.2.

Offensively, Alex Smith and Travis Kelce led the way at 82.5 and 81.5, respectively. Smith was very good in the game, throwing for 237 yards and a touchdown while completing 25-of-33 passes. Most importantly, he didn’t have a turnover. Kelce was a force throughout, notching his first touchdown of the young season.

Also, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention that the Chiefs held Ryan Fitzpatrick to the worst grade for a quarterback in PFF history. Fitzpatrick completed only 20-of-44 throws with no touchdowns and six interceptions, giving him a grade of 17.1.
