The Kansas City Chiefs shave unveiled their color rush uniforms for 2016, and they look pretty sweet.
I’ll go on record here and now. The idea of color rush uniforms is nothing more than a joke of a money grab, and the madness should stop. When the NFL first did these things last year with the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets, it looked like some horrendous version of Christmas.
On Tuesday morning, the NFL showcased what the entire AFC West will look like in this tweet.
As much as I hate color rush uniforms, these are pretty sweet. The Denver Broncos are going all orange, which might blow out the eyeballs of anyone watching too close to the screen. However, give the other three some props.
As for our Chiefs, we have the classic red-on-red look that the team has been wearing in recent seasons. I’m happy that Kansas City didn’t go for some hideous yellow color scheme, which was making its round on the internet rumor mill.
The San Diego Chargers are rolling with their old-school uniforms that were in style back when Dan Fouts and Kellen Winslow roamed the field. As for the Oakland Raiders, they also brought it back to when John Madden coached the team. These are all about the days of Daryle Lamonica and George Blanda.
