Getting up for opponents on a weekly basis is a tall task in this league. Especially, when you’re facing a string of inferior opponents. No one looks past a Peyton Manning-led Broncos team, but it’s tough to prepare for the lowly Chargers, a Ravens team with a third-string quarterback, and a Cleveland Browns team that’s lost seven consecutive games. Kansas City has three trap games left on its schedule and it’s not unreasonable to think one or two of those teams could trip them up on their way to January football.

The season is far from over and despite a brilliant second half surge, the Chiefs still have work to do. Getting healthy, staying focused, and taking care of lesser opponents are paramount if Kansas City is serious about completing an improbable playoff run. The momentum and confidence this team has built is palpable. Andy Reid and company appear to be focused only on the opponent directly in front of them. That should bode well for them over the final month of the regular season.

Where do you currently stand on the Chiefs and their chances to make the postseason? Will the team falter down the stretch or run the table and finish 11-5? Which teams present the biggest challenge the rest of the way? Start the conversation in the comment section below. As always, we appreciate your readership and support.
