Remember how I said not to panic? Yeah, I was correct.
Apparently, defensive lineman Allen Bailey did not suffer a high-ankle sprain, which had been previously reported this morning by Adam Teicher of ESPN. Teicher is a professional, so the report certainly seemed credible. However, it also seemed really strange that nobody else was tweeting about the story.
This was the original tweet:
DL Allen Bailey has high ankle sprain
— Adam Teicher (@adamteicher) August 18, 2015
Followed by Terez Paylor telling myself and another Chiefs fan that the report was inaccurate:
@Jtfawver @MattVerderame Bailey is NOT hurt.
— RIP Terez A. Paylor (@TerezPaylor) August 18, 2015
Then, minutes later, Teicher retracted his report:
My bad on Allen Bailey. Misunderstood the info. It's Eric Fisher who has the high ankle sprain. It's Bailey who landed on him at practice

This is a mix-up that caused some serious worry among Chiefs fans. People are already nervous about the defensive line with Dontari Poe on the shelf following back surgery. Losing a stud like Bailey for any length of time would have been a major problem. Luckily, that is not the case.
