When looking at the Kansas City Chiefs headed into the 2015 season it is hard to not be optimistic. The Chiefs have improved across the offensive line even with the loss of Rodney Hudson. Jeremy Maclin should be big upgrade over Dwayne Bowe as he fits the offense and Alex Smith’s style of play better than Bowe ever did. On defense they have Houston returning after signing a deal that made him the highest paid LB in NFL history and Derrick Johnson, Mike DeVito and Mike Catapano return to a unit that finished without allowing a 300 yard passer all year in 2014.

There are a lot of positives for the Chiefs as they get set to head to training camp in eight days. Chiefs fans are getting antsy looking for any scrap of information they can find as this is the slowest part of the NFL year. The Chiefs certainly have several players that stood out at training camp and both coaches and fans alike are ready to find out if they can continue to shine when the pads come on in August.

While the Chiefs have brought back their core players, the Denver Broncos have lost players that have helped them be so successful in the past couple of seasons. Julius Thomas was allowed to leave in Free Agency and is now in Jacksonville. Rahim Moore is now in Houston playing for the Texans while Orlando Franklin signed with AFC West division rival San Diego Chargers. Ryan Clady is again out for the year before the season even begins after tearing his ACL. The Broncos brought back Demaryius Thomas and still have Peyton Manning but how long will Denver’s AFC West dominance continue?
