Podcast: Chiefs Fall to Broncos in Dramatic Fashion

This was to be expected, but not to be accepted.

On this episode of Roughing the Kicker, Joshua Brisco and Ryan Landreth devote the entire show to recapping the Chiefs’ crushing defeat at the hands of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. 

The thing that hurts the most is that we saw this coming, but still believed that it wouldn’t end this way.

We’ve seen Andy Reid ignore Jamaal Charles. We’ve seen the run defense get exposed. We’ve seen Alex Smith fall prey to his fly trap of an offensive line. (The line is a fly trap; defensive linemen are elephants. Advantage: defense.)

This is nothing new for Chiefs fans. And yet, it’s all just as fresh and painful each time. I called the Raiders loss embarrassing. I call this one textbook. Andy Reid was outcoached. The run defense was outmatched. The offensive line was outplayed. This is to be expected, but not to be accepted. What happened to all of that “heart?”
