It is official: Kansas City Chiefs fans are the loudest fans in the world.
Chiefs fans shattered the previous sound record held by the Seattle Seahawks by nearly five decibels on Monday night, setting a new mark of 142.2. It is the second time the Chiefs have broken the sound record in the last year.
Here’s some of the reaction to the new record from around Twitter.

And finally this from the Boston Globe (And yes, I know it isn’t from Twitter):
"The Kansas City Chiefs demolished the 2-2 Patriots when they had the ball. They demolished the Patriots when the Patriots had the ball. And their crowd set an all-time outdoor stadium decibel record when neither team had the ball."
Chiefs fans are awesome… and loud.
