Jamaal Charles: I Want To Be In The Hall Of Fame
By Ben Nielsen
Fresh off his newly signed contract extension, Jamaal Charles had some big things to say about his future in the NFL.
Bold statement, indeed.
What makes it great is Charles can back it up. No other running back in NFL history has rushed for more yards per carry than Jamaal Charles give his workload. The only running back close to his production is Jim Brown, who is almost a full half-yard behind Charles in his average yards per carry.
With a fresh Knile Davis behind him and a potentially improved offense with Travis Kelce being healthy, Charles won’t have to carry the full load anymore for the Chiefs. This should keep him fresher in games and throughout the season, leading to some potentially big numbers.
In addition to Charles being a great player, he’s one of the best off-field characters in football. He’s a superstar who is a team-first guy. Everything he does from showing up to OTAs and minicamps, staying out of trouble, and agreeing to team-friendly contracts points to him being someone who is about winning and not about himself.
Kansas City has one of the best all-around players in football. He deserves everything he gets.
