Chris Canty has snubbed the Kansas City Chiefs in order to sign with the Baltimore Ravens. Canty sent out an Instagram photo of his new contract.
The Chiefs met with Canty a few days ago as the former NEw York Giants defensive lineman made the rounds. Canty also visited the Tennessee Titans and Green Bay Packers.
In the end, however, it was the Ravens that landed his services. Canty was in Baltimore today to meet with the team.
Canty reportedly had deals on the table from the Chiefs and Titans but it looks as though the defending Super Bowl Champions won him over.
There is also a chance the Chiefs rescinded their offer. Shortly after the free agency period started, KC had former New York Jets DE Mike DeVito on his way to town for a visit. If the Chiefs knew they were going to land DeVito, they could have backed away from Canty.
DeVito may actually work out better for the Chiefs. There is some word that the Jets really wanted to retain him and the Bills were also reportedly in pursuit.
